The Following is the Mission Statement, Objectives & Scriptures for the first Church Plant: la Iglesia @ San Luis: ~ Proclaiming and Demonstrating Jesus' Love, Word & Power so that Multitudes of People's Lives are Changed Now, Continually and Forever! ~

Demonstrating and Proclaiming

We Proclaim by: 1 Preaching the Word in Open Services, 2 Teaching the Word in Weekly Bible Studies and Discipleship Groups, and 3 Empowering, Equipping and Encouraging Believers in the Church to go share their Personal Testimonies along with the Good News about Jesus.

We Demonstrate by: 1 Building homes for the poor and brokenhearted, 2 Inviting people into our Homes, 3 Serving the people in the community via the Church's Community Center, 4 Buying and then training families how to raise Chickens and Crops in their home gardens, 5 Praying for people to be healed and set free, 6 Giving rides and Cold Water to people in the summer heat, 7 Eating the food in their homes.

 Jesus' Love, Word & Power

Jesus' Love: More than anything else that we do, or any Christian for that matter, is to demonstrate and proclaim Jesus' love to all mankind.

Jesus' Word: We are to be doers of the Word, and not hearers only - as we tell people about Jesus and His Word, we are to live it out in our own lives and unto others.

Jesus' Power: Jesus said that when He returned to be with the Father in Heaven, He would send us the Holy Spirit by whom we are born-again; not only does the Spirit bring us freedom from sin and death, but Jesus promised the Spirit would give us Power to be His witnesses near, far and around the world for all those of whom He died.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

1 John 3:23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

1 Peter 4:8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

John 14:23 Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

John 15:26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me

So That Multitudes of People's Lives

Are Changed Now, Continually and Forever!

Multitudes of People: Jesus Himself said that God the Father loved the World and everyone in it so much, He was sent to die for the sins of every single person who has and will live; God's desire is that everyone come to know Him as Savior and as Lord.

Now, Continually, Forever: Not only did Jesus come to give them life eternal, but also life abundantly - He desires life change now, becoming more like Jesus everyday for the rest of our lives, unto being with Him in Heaven for Eternity.

Acts 11:20-21 But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists also, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to everlasting life.

John 10:10 ...I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

2 Corinthians 7:9 Now I am glad I sent the letter, not because it hurt you, but because the pain caused you to have remorse and change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way.

Ephesians 4:23-32 Instead, there must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes. You must display a new nature because you are a new person, created in God's likeness -- righteous, holy, and true. So put away all falsehood and "tell your neighbor the truth" because we belong to each other. And "don't sin by letting anger gain control over you." Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a mighty foothold to the Devil. If you are a thief, stop stealing. Begin using your hands for honest work, and then give generously to others in need. Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he is the one who has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malicious behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
