Saturday Morning = Free Breakfast

This Page is dedicated to the Children whom we Proclaim and Demonstrate the Love, Word and Power of Jesus every Saturday morning...

Pedro and his wife Loreto lead this ministry and have a great team of people from La Iglesia en San Luis helping them. About 6am each Saturday morning, Loreto takes one or two ladies to purchase fresh food at the local family-owned market and then return to her home where they prepare breakfast for nearly fifty children, and a few elderly folks. Most of these kids only eat once or twice a day, and their diet is mostly made up of beans and tortillas, while occasionally accompanied by some rice. 

Providing healthy meals to these little ones helps to prevent malnutrition, and also reduces their susceptibility to illnesses and infections. It also demonstrates that there are a people group in this world who Love them and are willing to serve them and bless them, because of what Jesus has done and commanded us to do. When we get to talk with adults who have grown up eating healthy meals at the expense of Christians and were told about the Love of Jesus, they always (without fail) remember the blessings they received and the reason they received it.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' 40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me.' Matthew 25:35-40
